Insta Wars & new Astral Spirits
Its nearly the weekend & its been a strange old week. After months of issues with good old instagram (blocked from liking posts on a daily basis, unable to follow new people, followers not seeing my posts in their feed etc), the overlords finally went the whole hog & locked me out of my own account
Oddly, its still ‘live’ & visible…but inactive, as I can’t get in. Lovely stuff. So, after 3 years of grafting on building that up, I’m starting again…keeps me out of trouble
If you are an IG person, I’m now at industrialcoast1…cunningly adding a 1 to the original tagline
My great hope of course is that sufficient people read this newsletter eventually, then I can bin off old Zuck for good. Until he buys Substack of course
Here we go…6pm tonight…all new Astral Spitits. Its Jazzy as Roni Size once said (I’ve cracked that before very probably)…TWO new Crazy Doberman, more vinyl (12” & a 7”) plus 4 cassettes
Its all terribly limited…if you miss out, DM me on, erm, IG, or contact me here & I’ll do my best on restocks
This is a beast. Industrial Coast (thats me), Stonecirclesampler & those druid junglists have got together to produce an epic 3xCs boxset over 4hrs in length. Its like a drone field recording version of some epic Prog Rock masterpiece
Pre-orders are open…50 copies, no digital, at all, ever. I’m rather hoping it sells out before the physicals arrive at the end of October
Here’s a pic of one of my favourite prog rock outfits
Next week will see 3 new IC releases:
Derealise, Blackcloudsummoner & Andrew Nolan…eclectic as always…so keep a look out for them
We will have new ORB tapes up in the distro, & we will be introducing Radical Documents, which is something I’m very happy about…a nice pre-amble to our mid-west weird series, which will see the light of day in early November
Great recent distro we currently have in very limited remaining numbers include Moon Glyph (Mark Tester vinyl…2 left!), Trip Ticks (various tapes, 1 or 2 left), Deathbed & the most recent 2 cassettes from the wonderful enmossed (lathes all gone, sorry)
On the donation front, we raised £100 for White Ribbon from the bundle deals last weekend, & have now donated $400 to World Central Kitchen via the Girls invented Noise comp (see how I seamlessly switch currencies…thats my global commerce background coming to the fore)…the comp is now being mastered & we will be on target (or within a week) for the hoped for physical release of October end. I’ve obviously heard it all now - its bloody brilliant!
Thats probably it for now…as always, comments, suggestions for new distro, next recipients of our support etc more than welcome
Steve
